Tortuga Laguna is the 1st turtle themed coffee table by Laguna artist David Michael Vaughn. The artwork is a tribute to beautiful Laguna Beach and the magical allure of the sea turtle. Painting the sunset vista of Laguna's Main Beach in the shape of a turtle shell has been David's dream and vision. It's a tribute to the city he and his wife call home, and a city many people have come to know as one of the most magical and romantic spots on earth!

The sea turtle with the Laguna Beach painted shell has already become an iconic art piece and is featured in various forms of merchandise that are available throughout the artistic seaside city. This is your chance to own an original version of this artwork.

It's sunset and two figures walk along the beach as two seagulls fly over the horizon of Laguna's famous coastline. Baby turtles make their way to the ocean to start a life of navigating and adventuring. The baby turtles are carved in wood and are drawn in pyrography (wood burning). Austrian Mappa Burlwood is the central wood of the table and has an amazing coastal appearance to its edges and coloring. A 24K gold hand painted sea fan adorns the ocean. The entire piece was made with 5 layers of epoxy that build up multiple dimensions with various painted elements on each layer. Acrylic paint, pigments, real diamond dust, crystals, iridescent foil and gold leaf combine to provide sparkle and rich textures within the piece.

The table features a lighting array that makes the table glow and light up as evening sets in. LED Illumination effects create single and multi-color lighting throughout the translucent infinity edge design. Both still and moving light modes offer many ways to experience and accent the artwork. A piece of Opti-White, tempered, low iron glass tops off the table. A remote and rechargeable battery pack also come with this ultra-dimensional master work. Signed by the artist.
